Request for Comments on Proposed Statutory Language      
The Nursing Practice Committee of the Board of Nursing has developed proposed statutory definitions of professional and practical nursing. The purpose of these changes is to remove any statutory barriers to practice for licensed practical and registered nurses.

Attention APRNs: Prescription Monitoring Program      
The PMP RxSentry database is now operational for patient profile queries. Prescribers of controlled substances seeking access to this database can now print the access request forms from the PMP web site and submit them to the PMP office for processing.

Minnesota Board of Nursing Auto Verification Service      
The Minnesota Board of Nursing's Auto Verification service enables subscribers to get information about the status of any registered nurse or licensed practical nurse with a license in Minnesota. After signing up for the service, subscribers receive an email sent either daily, weekly, or monthly which lists selected changes to the licensees' records.
