Physician License State-to-State Online Verification
Physicians can request the Board to send a primary source verification letter in PDF format via e-mail to other states.

Online Services are available for Athletic Trainers, Acupuncturists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Respiratory Care Practitioners License and Registration Renewal. Address can be changed at any time. Physicians can update their professional profile at any time.

  National Provider Identifier (NPI)
HIPAA requires the NPI to be used by all health plans (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid and other private health insurers), clearinghouses and health care providers by May 23, 2007. Getting your NPI is the first step in the process of meeting the compliance date.
 
A new law, which will take effect on August 1, 2006, aims at controlling the rising costs of health care in Minnesota.
