Effective July 1, 2005 the Information Policy Council is no longer an active council.

The mission of the Information Policy Council (IPC) is to work with the Office of Technology and the Department of Administration in developing the information management and operational direction for the community of organizations involved in government in the state of Minnesota. Responsibilities for carrying out this mission include the initiation, review and recommendation of policy relating to information management and operations. The IPC will advise the Assistant Commissioner of the Office of Technology and the Commissioner of Administration concerning matters related to the statutory responsibilities of integrating and operating the state's information resource facilities, developing plans and programs for information systems, and providing leadership and services in related information resource efforts.
